On the 23rd and 24th October, a highly motivated group of BHS students performed CATS; Young Actors Edition at the Balaklava Town Hall. This ensemble have spent the last 7 months learning music and choreography for the show. In the build up to the performance, students rehearsed at the Balaklava Town Hall on Friday to adjust to the new stage. With time spent on Sunday and Monday to perfect their craft and run the show for performances on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
Hours of commitment and enthusiasm were put into making this show possible and there was a great turnout on both evenings with close to 200 people coming to watch.
On the second show evening, the cast and crew organised farewell gifts for Miss U, the director and the musical director, Clair Allen, who has been stage manager for the last 2 years. Both the school and the performing arts team will miss both of them as they go on to their new adventures.
